Key Team

James Mwangi Gatemi
Director

James boasts of a wealth of experience in hospitality management gained from successfully managing all aspects of premier hospitality organizations. His capability includes development of Greenfield Hotel projects, working with various Global Hotel Brands and turning around ailing hospitality projects. James has considerable experience in corporate management systems gained from early experiences as an associate consultant with both Deloitte and PWC consulting companies in Kenya.

He is the CEO of the company and previously was the Icon Hotel Group Operations director which manages development and management of hotels in Nigeria, Benin, and Kenya but has also signed up developments in the DRC. He is also the managing director of Hospitality Solutions (U)Ltd and his projects include Humura Resort Hotel, Mountains of the Moon Hotel - Western Uganda, City Royal Resort Hotel - Kampala, Mt Elgon Hotel – Mbale allbased in Uganda.

Fred Muhia
Director

Fred was a Director and General Manager, the Carnivore Restaurant, from January 2016 until December 2019 after serving as General Manager of Tamambo and Tamarind Restaurants for 5 years. He previously served as General Manager at Tamarind Restaurant and Tamambo Restaurant in Westlands for a period of 10 years. He was also involved in the day to day management of various Tamarind Group of restaurants in Nairobi, Mombasa and South Africa where he started the Carnivore Johannesburg in 1993.

Fred has expertise in hotel and restaurant operations, food & beverage management, other catering services and HR, hotel accounting, marketing, business strategy and strategic planning. Experience in restaurant start-ups, innovation and compliance.

He is an Independent non-executive director of Beverley Schools of Kenya, Nyandarua County. Director, Halisi Family Hospital, Kitengela Kajiado County. He is also a Member at Skal Club of Kenya - Nairobi, Chaine des Rotisseurs - Paris, France
